Traveling Project Superintendent
- Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL
- Pay: $80,000 – $130,000 per year
- Hours: Year-round travel to project sites throughout the Midwest and East Coast

About The Role
ICI is seeking seasoned, driven Traveling Construction Superintendents with hands-on Walmart Supercenter and Distribution Center project experience. You'll lead remodels and expansions across the Midwest and East Coast, managing field operations from groundbreaking through punch list. This role is built for dedicated construction professionals who thrive on the road, take ownership of project execution, and deliver quality on tight schedules. What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee daily field operations for Walmart Distribution Center remodels and expansions
- Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, and deliveries to keep projects on track and on budget
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure full OSHA compliance on every jobsite
- Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders using Procore and Wrike
- Conduct daily site walks, quality inspections, and progress reporting
- Communicate directly with General Superintendent, project managers, and Walmart stakeholders
- Resolve on-site issues quickly to maintain workflow and meet deadlines
- Travel year-round to various retail and distribution center locations
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years as a Construction Superintendent on Walmart projects (remodels, distribution centers, expansions)
- Strong working knowledge of Procore and Wrike for project tracking and reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel for scheduling and documentation
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and budgets in fast-paced retail environments
- Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and site management best practices
- Willingness to travel year-round throughout the Midwest and East Coast
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Nice To Have
- Experience with other retail or industrial construction projects
- OSHA 30 certification
- Additional project management software experience
